What Being a Grandpa Means
Posted on June 24, 2012
Being a Grandpa means finding value in ALL that your grandchildren create.
It means taking a completed page from a coloring book that your granddaughter gave you and storing it for safe-keeping.
It means putting your granddaughter’s perfect spelling tests in page sleeves in order to preserve them.
Being a Grandpa means taking your youngest granddaughter’s drawing that she worked so hard to make for you and keeping it in a folder so it would not tear.
Grandpa Bob treated every picture we drew for him, every 100% we earned in school…everything positive that we created…with the utmost importance. So, it was such a pleasant surprise to have my sisters and I discover these random, tangible souvenirs from our childhood while looking through one of Grandpa’s suitcases last Sunday (Father’s Day).
HAPPY (BELATED) FATHER’S DAY, GRANDPA! THANK YOU FOR MAKING US FEEL LOVED AND APPRECIATED EVERY SINGLE DAY!
