“A Bushel and a Peck”: Still A Beloved Song, After All These Years
Posted on April 28, 2013
As I mentioned in a previous post, Grandpa Bob was a huge fan of Perry Como, and my sisters and I grew up listening to a particular Perry Como song that still brings smiles to our faces to this day! “A Bushel and a Peck”, a song Perry Como originally sang as a duet with Betty Hutton, was always played in the background at my grandparents’ house during playtime, during dinnertime…anytime! And we always enjoyed every second of it!
So, you can imagine the surprise I exclaimed when I stumbled upon the following YouTube videos…videos of adorable children singing Grandpa Bob’s song! “A Bushel and a Peck” is still popular, 20+ years after the Mitchell girls were…well…girls! 🙂
Please check out the following pint-sized performers:
This little one skillfully uses hand gestures during his performance!
This is what I call a duet!
And this cutie pie is quite the multitasker!
“A Bushel and a Peck” is the song that generates joyful memories of time with my grandparents! Is there a song that produces the same effect for you? 🙂
